  1. I think the histry of our world is more interesting to me. I have thought about the origins of things many times. David spoken the complexity by going back to the birth of earth. This idea was unexpected. The landing of an asteroid was great news for our mammalian ancestors. This is bad incident for dinosaurs if we see this from the dinosaur’s viewpoint but If we see this from the human’s viewpoint, it was good incident. I also learned from this story that we need to see something that we want to know more from many points of view. This story gave me new ideas so I chose this story.

  2. I was more interested in watching “A Family Tree From Humanity” presented by Spencer Wells. Human ancesters are known as Chimpanzees but not recongnized our family tree. Tracking DNA can be told our history what hppened at the era. In addition, human have been changing structure of the DNA through revolving our body to be adapted the around environemnet. For those parts from the video, I am impressed about how much DNA is outstandning and our capability to make culture also get huge knowledge as different creatures that the other animals cannnot.

  3. I think “A family tree for humanity “ is more interesting for me. I was surprised that people live in the world today are all from Africa, and we are originally the family. So every people came from Africa even their skin colors, looks, and languages are very different now. So I can imagine that it might their looks resemble. They immigrate to survive, however after the big immigration, they adjusted themselves to the climate or new way of life. Then they made new cultures. So now there are lots of diversity. I think it is so amazing because it happened not so long ago.

  4. I am more interested in “A Family Tree From Humanity” by Spencer Wells. I have two reasons why i chose his video. First, he clarified what he was going to talk. This made me easy to understand the whole his speach. Second reason is that he talked about what i have been wondering. That is “Whether our origin is same or not and if our origin is same, why we look different?” I had no idea the answer of this question but now i know why we look different and I am impressed the fact. For these reasons, this video is more interesting for me.

  5. I was interested by history of world that was spoken by David. Because the way of him to using some of concept to explain how the world and universe was formed very clear, simple and easy to understand, the complexity can be at anywhere and anytime maybe it sounds difficult to form something with complexity. But, in this video has explained us about how the universe was formed by complexity. Using Collective Learning can be the best way to know and to learn about complexity because in Collcective Learning we define the complex concept such us structures, routine, norms and strategies in order to guide us in the future. Last time, there are still many theory about history of the universe but some of the theories don’t provide any clear information and sometime getting hard to understand, but in this video, David tell us by whirl back the time and explain it step by step and mostly the Intelligence of humanbeing becomes the most critical about anything and it makes human be more creative than another livings. So there are some reasons why I prefer this video.

  6. I want to mention “A Family Tree For Humanity” lecture by Spencer Wells. I always interested in diversity of humans. We all human species but why do our hair colors, eyes and shape of faces different? Why we speak many different languages? in my opinion, this lecture can be a good explanation of my questions.
First he talked about a origin of humans. He explain our origin, which is actually related for our genealogy, using information about human DNA, and genetic code. When I heard that I just feel like I bear whole human species history(or a family tree of humans) in my own DNA, and it’s amazing.
How people did seperate from each others? Humans leaved Africa around 60000 years ago and they migrated to Asia,Europe, ets. I think that’s how we changed from each others. Because of different places and weather condition, humans life styles changed and it influenced our languages and cultures.
This lecture taught me plentiful facts about humans in 20 minutes.

  7. I am interested that big Bang happened suddenly and earth was born from nothing darkness. Today the science has been elucidate that many things little by little development, but there still many not be able to prove in science. So it is a mystery not a problem that can still prove in science is about the birth of the earth.I am very excited to mystery, such as life or an object that can not be proven by science.Mystery makes a variety of imagination to me and it is jammed a lot of dream.

  8. The former video is more interesting to me. I didn’t know history how planet birthed and evolved. This video gives me many interesting and interactive informations about the planet and the earth, human being. I have stydied only history of human.
But this video teaches me that we have to study whole history
about planet to learn our own. Learning to origin of planet equal
to identifying our own. This is why I selected formaer one.

  9. I prefer the first one. The reason is that it’s represented with a more extensive perspective. First the speaker puts human in the universe range and emphasizes that human should be regard as a whole , which could let people understand their position in this world clearly, instead of divided different races. Second is that though the biological and phyiscal perspective, it directly discribed how human exists and survives as an organism especially though the genetic inheritance, and the colletive memories. Within those, he also pointes out the future of human should be work together as a group and live as our gene would pass to fututer generations which means it’s not all about us, it’s about the speices.

  10. I likes “The History of Our World.” Because from the video, He talked what happened with the world through the complexity. Thus He gave some illustration or example video what happened the world on the First time and the Future time. DNA also gave another influences that can made transformation and created new culture over the world. I am really impressive about that things and David gave me so many ideas sometimes. The way of his explained can make me understand easily too. I love his statement which was “You don’t have to establish Individual, You stabilize the template.” Because getting some new transformation is from the information so that’s why he introduce “DNA.” Therefore, there is many ideas that he introduce us such as collective lecture, complexity, etc. That is my reason why I like this story.

  11. Personally, I’m interested in the first video that is talking about the history about the world. The video impressed me a lot when David spoke about how complex the universe is. Sometimes, we just simply live the life without having a bit intention to know how the world works, and so do I. However, after watching the video I realize how the world can create such a great complexity since the beginning, from the explosion it created so much energy, such as atoms, protons, neutrons and so on and so forth. Moreover, I found that even ourselves were created by the complexity of the universe itself, it’s told that the living organisms were formed by the combined molecules, which further explained that we are actually a package of complex chemical that is formed by the complexity itself. From the video I learned so much information that mostly makes me re-think how wonderful our world is, how simple it can make us think the way it works, but how complex it is in fact.

  12. I was more interested “The history of our world in 18minutes” presented by David Christian. I have two reasons why this story was the most interesting for me. First, I was interested in science and philosophy since junior high school student. I always curious about how the universe creates complexity, and mysterious of human existence etc. And the second, I think his goal is to create a tool which worldwide can lean and understand what he calls “big history”. I found it very impressive about this idea. Because I think creations of the universe and the existence of humanity was achievable all because of history. And probably, we need to focus on how fragile we are, the lessons we can learn from this big history, and what we should do to overcome the challenges ahead of us as a species. In addition, one more impressive idea about he calls ” Goldilocks condition” . It was gave me a new idea and I learned a lot for this story.

  13. “A Family Tree From Humanity” was more interesting to me. Mr. Wells said DNA could tell us the history of the very earliest days of our species. That was just what I had been interested in. It is a very famous theory that our early progenitors lived on the African continent. Therefore, we can say we share the same ancestor with each other, and for this, I thought even though how we look like depends on our race, sex and so on, it is obvious we have no difference with each other.

  14. I think the most interesting video is about “The History of Our World” by David Christian, because it gave me insight of how the asteroid incident, a thousands years ago, can be beneficial for human being on the next stage, that’s the first interesting part. The next interesting part is about DNA, David said that DNA contain information, and as the DNA copying itself, there’s an error that created the diversity and complexity of living organism. So, in the billion of living organism has the different structure of DNA and it was impressed me of how sophisticated the DNA is.

  15. ❝A family tree from humanity❞ was more interesting to me. I was surprised to know it’s only 60,000 years that human has started to
make this wide diversity like there are all sorts of skin colors people in the world today. So, I wonder how we evolve our appearance in the future. In my opinion, the most important thing is environments surrounding human. It can be said that global warming is one of elements to make human’s evolution. It’s unpredictable but global warming will make diversity of humans . I think that ❝the new type of human❞ will be born in near future.

  16. I was interested in “A Family Tree From Humanity”.
Watching this video, I became wonder about my ancestors.
Human race began in Africa long ago and we were lived in a same place but now we are living in completely different places. I thought if my ancestors were European not Asians, if I was born as reincarnation of my ancestor. Many questions arises in mind.
My mother is from Thailand so my ancestors were also lived in Thailand. I am sure that I have not only Japanese ancestors but also Thai ancestors. For these reasons, cultures of both country were also handed to my generation. I felt that I want to research more about my ancestors.

  17. I was more interested in ❝A Family Tree For Humanity❞by Spencer Wells. I was shocked the truth that all of the human’s ancestor is the same african woman. And I wonder why our face or body shape are very different to the others because of our ancestor is same person. My mother is thailand and my father is japanese so I have two ancestors. But my mother and my father’s face impression are different that I can’t believe they’re ancestor is same person. Now I’m very curious about why our face or body shapes has so many differences compare with another countries people.

  18. I think “The history of our world” is more interesting to me. I have three reasons for this.First,I was interested in the birth of the Earth. I could know the birth of Earth in more detail.Second, I was surprised to hear the description. I didn’t know our Earth are significantly more complex than stars.I thought Earth and star are complex about the same. Finally, humans have languages because we leave some memories.I didn’t know why are we have languages. This video gave me some knowledges and way of thinking. So I think this video is more interesting.

  19. In my opinion, i was interested in second video which is a family tree for humanity by Spencer Wells. From the video, i was surprised that he travel around the world to get the differentiation of a culture from each country. First , it is true that our humanity was build by the first ancestry and we can see that the changes are significantly true from the beginning the chimpanzee have their own languages and now we have 6000 languages around the world. its special in my opinion that DNA can determine the culture of a humanity. Our DNA was created by our mother and our mother from grandmother until the first human that has the DNA which is our ancestry. Finally, I’m really curious about the rest of changes and try to figure it out the other descendant from generation to generation.

  20. The video of the history of our world was more interesting to me. This is because I have intereste in whole process which create our world rather than thinking deeply specific speices such as us human beings. What impressed me was collective learning was the key for human beings to survive generation to generation. With this outstanding skill, human beings have succeeded in existing and developing rich culture. Now that I know this fact, which makes me feel that I should study harder and that I want to contribute to the world we live on as possible as I can.

  21. I thought “A family tree for humanity” by Spencer Wells was most interesting to me. I have always questioned “What is humanity?” It was found that DNA can date the origin of humanity throughout this video. I surprised we originated in Africa that it’s written in our DNA. Spencer said “We share a common ancestry with every living thing on Earth. DNA ties us all together.” I think that roots of DNA is indicative of never correct. That’s why I’ll try to look at what is forming creatures on the earth and how.

  24. I feel more interest “a family tree for humanity” by Spencer Wells than other one. At first, Wells’ starting of TED is easy to get attention so it’s good for me. It’s very interesting that maybe my ancestor is monkey and that my ancestor and mushroom live together is power word. Very funny imagine. I haven’t known that three kinds of ancestors lived at same time. amazing.
The most amazing thing is making family tree who is living now. I wonder how to do it, is that possible? the answer is DNA. I have known about DNA, but I haven’t known it enable to know ancestor and make family tree. Very interesting TED.

  25. The upper video was more interesting to me. This is probably because I do not know much about the scientific facts, and pretty much everything the speaker said was new to me. Also he illustrated the whole process of this universe ; from Big Bang to current situation. It was easy to grasp the entire idea of stream of our history. Since I have watched it, I got some senses of it and came to be very conscious that I actually am a part of history which is responsible for taking care of this planet.

  26. I am more interested in “The History of Our World in 18 minutes” spoken by David Christian than the latter one. I love the universe and stargazing so much that I can think about it while watching the stars everyday. The presentation is explain how universe were created and grew complicated by replacing it with human being, so I did not get bored it. Thank for the language, the system of communication, humans were able to share what we have leaned. It make possible to accumulate from generation to generation. From the video, I also learned it is interesting to see things from multiple points of view.
